A brief description of the disciplinary pilgrimage

of Shri Jagad Guru Devanand Saraswati Chinnmasta

Since his early childhood, Shri Jagad Guru Devanand Saraswati Chinnmasta was inclined towards spirituality. He would listen to anything that was preached.  He followed all religious and theological mainstreams  - Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, and Animism. He worshipped God in all customs and usages practiced in the world. His life was one of respect and devout attention to spiritual, absolute values. Then, after some time idling on many paths, he came across Transcendental Meditation. His adolescence was in full effervescence. He realized the futility and vanity of many things at many levels of practical life. This is how much the situation constituted a favourable ground for confusion. In such circumstances, he was vulnerable and exposed to sects, groups and other imposters. Yet,  Jagad Guru Devanand Saraswati Chinnmasta Ji escaped dangers continuously to hang on to the simplicity of Truth.

His pursuit of God was relentless. He never doubted the existence of the Supreme Creator. He says without hesitation that, all creation, the marvelous and harmonious organization of the cosmic system, the world and life it harbors, testify to the greatness of the Creator. He says that Nature is Divine and is a fantastic book for those who think diligently. The adoration of God was always for him a central and primordial question. Finally, while he was about twenty, he took the decision one day to devote fully to the service of Shakti (God). He admits that in his youth, he wanted to know everything and quickly. There was no time to lose. He felt the urge to  consult sacred books. It seemed strange to him though, that people read and even write many books which are men's words. But sacred books were seldom made available to the public.

He realized that people generally preferred reading and then forget it. Jagad Guru Devanand Saraswati Chinnmasta Ji insists that devotion, practice and consolidation of faith (viswas) are the only means to achieve salvation, escape daily trouble, routine and stress. He would read anything coming his way and, that included inevitably, in most cases, spiritual thoughts and meditation. It was therefore difficult for him to escape curiosity to know more writings and doctrines. The more he read and studied, the more he got captivated.

There is a saying that constantly nurtured his heart and mind since a little boy: " love your neighbour as much as yourself and, love Shakti (God) with all your soul, thoughts and heart".

Thus, his inclination towards spirituality was bold. Then came the big day, when he was initiated to Transcendental Meditation. It was so new and captivating to him that he melted down with the ambition and burning desire to uplift creation and the creative principle!

His quest for spirituality reached peaks. He resolved then to dedicate and devote himself unconditionally to the cause of Shakti.  Jagad Guru Devanand Saraswati Chinnmasta Ji had already in anticipation, devoured most sacred texts. Then he set out to travel abroad. He says that he will never forget those moments when he was introduce to  Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. He was then branded for life.

During some thirty years, he met many great saints and personalities in different disciplines for studies, observation, investigation and proper practice. He achieved mastery over the LAWS OF NATURE. He was initiated to the science of Divination, Astrology, Numerology, Palmistry, Meditation and Power Prayers.

Prior to all this, he had already mastered martial arts and  professional massage therapy. Through his subsequent spiritual progress and ongoing journey through Shakti Paath (Power of Meditation), Jagad Guru Devanand Saraswati Chinnmasta Ji developed his unique exercises to walk through boiling water, lying on bed of sharp tridents, stand on tips and walk on edge of razor sharp swords, perform Karha pooja (offering boiling milk with bare hands) and walking as well as lying on bed of nails.

During his trips abroad, crossing through Europe, Africa, Asia and in  particular India, Jagad Guru Devanand Saraswati Chinnmasta broadened his experience of Shakti. He was now broken to all penance to spiritual exercises. Today is able to guide the world and share with one and all, knowledge, experiments and impart spiritual authority to selected devotees through initiation. Besides, his pilgrim's life has not ceased. He works sweat and blood in favour of humanity.

To serve the humanity better, Jagad Guru Devanand Saraswati Chinnmasta  decided to publish a first work – Power Prayers – wherein he relates to divine thought and orientation of the individual who wants to awake and to develop spiritual faculties to better understand, benefit from and serve people.

Soon after his first book, he published an impressive book entitled TANTRIK VIDYA UNVEILED – The Science of Tantra Unveiled! He takes the veil off  this precious holy science which was hidden in the past from the masses by a handful of people. Jagad Guru Devanand Saraswati Chinnmasta wants supreme sacred knowledge to be within reach to anyone who sincerely desires to follow the path of Shakti.

He points out that too many wrong doctrines keep humanity in bondage today. Tantrik Vidya Unveiled therefore provides a teaching which has existed since the creation of the world. He explains, in spiritual, scientific and literary terms, the secrets which allow liberation of the conscience and push the spiritual pilgrim to the realization of his destiny.

Tantrik Vidya Unveiled allows the devotee to penetrate the wonderful and comforting world of psycho spiritual practice which man needs from time immemorial. Every person greedy (eager) to advance on the track of knowledge, anxious to fight against indoctrination and craving for Divine, securing presence must take up his responsibility. It is too easy to fall victim to those who are without scruples and without holy attitude.

Tantrik Vidya Unveiled intervenes therefore as a serious indicator and reveals divine path for the good of humanity. Finally, it is a book which gives serious references on several planes – scientific, spiritual and even material, which will not escape the reader.
